A friend of mine tells me that the fall of a nation can be plotted by the number of lawyers per person! At present this number grows in proportion to the stock market and the number of politicians in Washington.
I, of course, have my own theory regarding
the fall of civilization.
This theory states: "Any civilization becomes doomed when the intelligence required
to maintain that societys' infrastructure exceeds the average IQ of the population."
It now requires a PhD to operate a garbage truck. I think we're doomed!
